As part of the Transport Museum’s Booklet Collection, a new series has been dedicated to public works heritage in Valencia’s regions. As indicated by its title, ‘Les obres públiques en les comarques valencianes. Indrets i paisatges: el Baix Vinalopó’, this volume is dedicated to the Alicante province of El Baix Vinalopó.

The first pages offer an overview of its infrastructures, presenting the region’s various existing communications (by land, sea and air), water and defence networks. The second part delves into the most important and most characteristic elements of public works in the region chronologically, covering from the Middle Ages to the present day. These include the dam on the Elche Reservoir, the Pontet dels Moros aqueduct in Crevillent, and the Port of Santa Pola and its lighthouse.
